A 9FT boa constrictor has been stolen from the Ponderosa rare breeds farm in Heckmondwike.
The snake has lived in the farm’s reptile house for six years.
It is described as very large and dangerous, but placid.
The staff said:
“She is kept in a warm tank with special high watt light bulbs, so we are worried she might not survive.
“Boa constrictors are not valuable so we can’t understand why they’ve taken her.”
