Coins and Bank Notes
Coins, bank notes and a pendant were stolen from a house in Twyford.
The stolen items included:
* 20 Victoria gold crown coins dated between 1880 and 1900,
* three George IV silver crown coins dated 1820 to 1872,
* a white 1936 £5 note,
* WW2 War Department bank notes
* a Victorian green tortoise shaped pendant.
DC Andrew Osborn, who is investigating the incident said: “These coins that were taken are quite distinctive and I would urge anyone who has been offered these items for sale, or know someone who has recently acquired them.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact DC 817 Andrew Osborn on 101 and follow the instructions to leave a message for an officer. When prompted, key in his identification number 0817.
