Malton police have issued a photograph of a stolen ring in the hope that someone will contact them if they have been offered it for sale or they know of its whereabouts.
The ring is made from 18ct gold and inset with a bloodstone engraved with a family crest depicting a lion and a griffin and the family’s initials.
The ring was stolen during a burglary at a house in a village near Malton.
Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of the ring or has been offered it for sale, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for DC Clair Gascoyne at Malton CID.
