I live in Portugal and get my copy of Country Life delivered regularly which is where I read about this brilliant website. I wish you all the luck in the world with it but also in retrieving your stolen goods. Well done for such an innovative idea !
Angela or Carol, have now figured out how to operate websight and have left ad regarding stolen car, thankyou for the opportunity to do so, I think your website is an excellent idea and hope you have much success. William.
The total of views are for each time a user is looking a page.
So if the same user is refreshing the page 15 times it will tell that 15 peoples a look at the add. Should this not be restricted to the number of unique IP addresses per page instead? This would give a better picture of how many have seen each page.
Dear Sir/Madam,
The most frustrating thing I find is thatI have to open up every item to find out what area it is in. Its unlikely I am going to know anything about or come across a push bike or mobile phone stolen in Preston.I appreciate that modern transport systems mean that they can turn up anywhere, but in general I think most stolen items remain fairly local. It would be a great help if County or Police Area was included in the initial description so I can localise my initial search without having to open every one. Thanks Tony
eg. Golf Clubs nicked. Berks.
@ tony – thanks for pointing that out – I will see if I can work out how to display that on the post extracts.
Some of the online communities which discuss collectables may be able to help – can I add links to items in the areas our forums cover? Do you have a preference as to how we’d do that? Perhaps someone can email me direct to discuss how we can help freely publicise your listings?
Great site. The item I’ve posted has 2 comments but when I try to open them, it says the site administrator has blocked access – is it possible to get this lifted?
Thanks.
