22 Mountain Bikes
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after 22 mountain bikes were stolen from the Speedwell Centre, a young person’s education facility, in Blackpool.
14 Kona Block red and black bikes with white wheel rims, seven black Ridgeback Velocity bikes and a Ridgeback Comet grey, hybrid bike were stolen.
PC Matt Walters said: “Given the number of bikes which have been stolen, I believe more than one person would have been involved in this burglary.
“What makes this all the more upsetting is that it was the Speedwell Centre which was targeted. This is a facility which provides education for young people who are not able to access mainstream schooling because of a medical need. Young people enjoyed regular bike rides and this is something they now can’t do.
“If anybody has any information at all with regards to where these bikes are now or can tell us who is responsible for the burglary then please contact police.”
