Four commemorative bronze plaques stolen from near York Minster.
It will cost about £2,000 to replace the plaque stolen from the statue of Constantine The Great.
Other plaques taken included one commemorating the baptism of Guy Fawkes at St Michael-le-Belfry church; one marking the location of the Queen’s Path near the Minster, and one to Miles Coverdale, the 16th century Bible translator, attached near to the Minster bookshop.
Another plaque (pictured), at Minster Gates, was damaged by thieves, who had tried to lever it off the wall.
