Medals and Military Memorabilia
Items stolen included a set of five Second World War medals, a set of four First World War medals, a leather Native American buckskin jacket with white beading and fringes and ten military head ornamental clay wall plaques were stolen after a Peugeot 106 was broken into.
The car had been left near a caravan on the Felixstowe Beach Caravan Park when it was broken into.
The clay wall plaques include two figures from the Napoleonic period – one with a black hair with a red and white plume, the other with a black and red hat with red tassles and gold trim – one British soldier and one Russian from the Crimean period, two Zulu war period soldiers, two First World War period soldiers – one British and one German – and two Second World War soldiers – also one British and one German.
All were in a black case, along with the medals.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious or anyone with information about who stole the items or where they are now is asked to get in touch with the police.
