Some time between 1pm and 3pm on Friday 25 March a bronze-effect statue of a stag, estimated to weigh around a quarter of a tonne, was taken. A chain attaching the statue to the ground was cut to enable it to be taken away. Because it is so heavy it would need more than one person to carry it.
This follows the theft of a doe deer statue, from the same property, which happened between 23 and 27 February. A reward is being offered for information leading to the successful conviction of those responsible.
