A bow box containing eleven bows, including several examples by top-quality French makers. Stolen from a train from London to Norwich.
Among the bows stolen were two nickel-mounted violin bows by Etienne Pajeot; a silver-mounted ‘Vuillaume’-style violin bow by Charles Peccatte; a gold-mounted violin bow by W.E. Hill & Sons; a silver-mounted violin bow by Eugene Sartory; and an extremely rare ‘swanhead’-model silver-mounted violin bow by Pierre Simon.
