16 April 2013

A large quantity of jewellery, to the value of £15,000 has been stolen from the bedroom of a house in Crawley. Many of the items were unique, including a wedding ring which was custom made. The ring is a white platinum wedding band with three rows of diamonds around the outside and more diamonds on the edge.

Also stolen was a silver Apple Macbook Pro, a brand new charcoal grey Dell Laptop, a number of mobile phones and two cameras.

Detective Constable John Hord from Crawley CID sai: “The victims are understandably devastated by what has happened and have lost many items which are of great personal and financial value, many of which they will never be able to replace. A number of the items of jewellery were bespoke, such as the wedding ring and I would urge anyone who has been offered these items for sale, or who has seen anyone with them to contact the police.
