More than a hundred distinctive wooden toys were stolen from a truck.

The lorry was parked overnight between Tuesday, November 20 and Wednesday, November 21 on a layby off the A38 near Somercotes.

A total of 116 KidKraft toys were taken from the trailer, which had its curtains cut while the driver was asleep in his cab.

Twenty five of the toys, called ‘Everyday Heroes’, are unique to the company, but also taken were a number of kitchen and cupcake play sets, dolls houses, vanity units and easels.
